How will renters get their items?

Our rental platform includes a messaging feature where renters can chat with owners, deciding on the best place for pickup/drop-off. It can be at the owner's home, the renter's home, or a public place - whatever makes you feel most comfortable!

When did rentals go live?

We launched end of June 2023! As we're still pretty new, please give us some time as we add all of the items you're looking for. If there's an item in particular you'd like to see, let us know using the request section in the footer!

If I'm an owner and my item gets damaged or broken, what happens? Am I covered?

We here at WEquip have high hopes and expectations, but we know real life is messy and accidents happen. We have an owner guarantee in place to cover your item in the event that something happens! See the "Owner Guarantee" link in the footer for all the details.

If I list my items on WEquip, how much will I make?

While the listing price is entirely up to you, you will bring home 75% of that! The other 25% will go to WEquip to cover overhead and administrative costs, as well as our owner guarantee.

How can I pay for my rental?

With a credit card! WEquip utilizes Wise, a secure payment processing platform, to process all charges.

Do you have an app?

Unfortunately we do not at this time. However, our website is very mobile friendly! We are also working on adding an app, so be on the lookout for it in 2025.

What is Stripe? Why do I need to do Identity Verification?

WEquip uses Stripe as a payment processor for payments to WEquip. WEquip also utilizes Stripe for Identity Verification, which every user is required to complete when they sign up to use our platform. Users do not need to create a Stripe account to complete this. We require Identity Verification for the safety of our users, so you know who you are dealing with. Learn more about Stripe's Identity Verification here.

What is Wise? Why do I need to make an account?

Wise is our payment processing platform, users are required to create an account and enter their banking info with Wise to receive payouts when their items are rented. Interested users can read more about Wise's privacy policy here. WEquip does not store or have access to any user's banking information.

What is our logo exactly?

It uses the letters from the "quip" portion of our name to form a smiling face, portraying WEquip's welcoming and happy culture.
